ABOUT MUCKLETON

WELCOME TO MUCKLETON MEATS, we are farmers, mostly selling directly to the people who will eat our products.

Our aim is to raise animals on a small scale to high welfare standards, allowing us to give them the best amount of care and attention. We have found our farming methods produce excellent, succulent and tasty pork and we now have a following of regular, happy customers.

All Muckleton premium pork sausages, meatballs and burgers are made and packed with care on the farm in a purpose-built building, using meat from our own pigs and very occasionally, other selected farms.

We also raise all bull calves born in our Jersey dairy herd and these are either sold for breeding or, castrated and grass-reared. Therefore, we do occasionally have Jersey beef for sale – mostly this is snapped up quickly by our existing customers but if you want to be on the list of potential beef customers, do let us know or follow us on Facebook as we advertise when we have some available for purchase.

You will taste the difference in our high quality, meaty, full of flavour products.

The business started in Muckleton and was based there for ten years. In 2016, the founder retired and the business moved forward with David and Jan at the helm, high into the South Shropshire Hills.

Our small herd of pedigree Jersey cattle provide milk for their calves, ourselves, Nanny Janny’s Jersey Ice Cream and the pigs.

We now sell through farmers’ markets and local shops.

Our products are also used in high class catering establishments in Shropshire.
